About Us

Better Cantonese was founded by a native Hong Konger who is passionate about promoting Cantonese in everyday life. The founder holds a Master's degree in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language and a Bachelor's degree in English for Professional Communication. She is fluent in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin, and has earned multiple certifications and top results in public examinations, including the Mandarin Proficiency Test certificate, a Grade A in the Cantonese Read‑Aloud Test, and Grade A results in both Chinese and English Speaking in the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination.

In terms of teaching and professional experience, she currently works at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and has accumulated over ten years of tutoring experience, alongside six years in marketing and public relations. She has also worked in Singapore, gaining valuable cross‑cultural and business communication skills. Furthermore, she received a university scholarship for creative English writing and studied abroad in the UK, enriching her international perspective.

By combining her professional language training, extensive teaching experience, and global outlook, the founder aims to make Better Cantonese a platform where learners can enjoy a fun, interactive learning journey and confidently master Hong Kong‑style Cantonese for daily life.
